What should I wear?
Dress is casual-our encouragement is for you to wear what's comfortable for you. There's no need for a jacket and a tie!
Is there something for my kids?
On Sunday mornings we offer Sunday School for children up through 5th grade during both main services. Youth 6th grade and up worship with their parents on Sunday mornings. Click here for information about our weekly evening youth groups.
What's your music like?
Our music is contemporary and upbeat - you'll probably hear drums and a guitar. We have the words to our songs up on screens in the sanctuary to help you participate.
What about baptism?
Jesus commanded those who believe to follow him in baptism. Our baptisms are scheduled a few times a year, usually during our regular Sunday morning services. If you want to be baptized email randy_g@indyvineyard.org.
What about membership?
You certainly don't have to be a member to attend church here. Membership is a way to identify with the mission and values of the Vineyard. If you are interested in making this commitment, the requirements are as follows: a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, having been baptized since becoming a believer, and a willingness to sign the following statement:
As a member of Vineyard Community Church, I agree to support this ministry with my time, talents, and treasure and to be accountable to the church leadership in matters concerning my relationship to God and to others.
Step one in the membership process is attending a Membership Q & A session which we offer quarterly. If you are interested in membership, email molly_m@indyvineyard.org.
What is the Vineyard?
The Association of Vineyard Churches is a diverse group of churches that partner together to advance the kingdom of God by communicating the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed. Through many localized expressions, Vineyard churches aim to:
Worship God and stand on the ancient truth of the Scripture, the guide for faith, ife, and service.
Grow as a people of both the Word and Spirit, empowered for the purpose of making and nurturing mature disciples of Jesus Christ.
Create reproducing missional communities of worship, discipleship, evangelism and service.
Serve the Father in the power of the Spirit, following Jesus' holistic and incarnational ministry of proclaiming and manifesting the kingdom of God.
The Association of Vineyard Churches is one of the fastest growing church-planting movements in the world. The Vineyard story is about ordinary people who worship and serve an extraordinary God. The Vineyard is simply one thread in the rich tapestry of the historic and global Church of Jesus Christ. But it is a thread of God's weaving.
There are more than 850 vineyard churches worldwide, an international church planting movement, a publishing house and amusic production company. Vineyard worship songs have helped thousands of churches experience intimacy with God.
